The Rude 66 tracks are also quite satisfying. I am having an amazing
hit rate with your Top 100 - esp. the more synthy tracks make me feel pure love. My recently loved tracks bear witness. The only tracks that don't do that much/(or do less) for me are the more traditional vocal disco tracks like `All over your face' or `You can't hide your love'. I don't dislike them but they don't have those exciting synths that make my day.

Rajesh, well, your guess is as good as mine. One of those one-off italo projects that probably sold 3 copies worldwide:

http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=695739

Nice touch with the toothbrush on the cover too. But you're right, it is a pretty unique (and bizarre) mixture of styles.

`Sweetheart in Rabbit' has to be the first English Folk Revival-Italo crossover track ever! It combines two loves of mine that I never thought could co-exist in a single track. Who is Meek Rabbit?

Thanks for the mix. So many excellent (and new to me) tracks here.
I really liked Kris Menace presents Fred Falke – Fairlight (2006) -
mostly know these guys as ace remixers; good to see that their own products are just as lovely.

[...] Erik XVI treats us to a deeply atmospheric two hours this week. From dense soundscapes, through layers of complex techno and electronica, ending up in hard, broken beats, this is an excellent mix. Happily, it also coincides with the release of his new EP on Highpoint Lowlife recordings. You’d better go and buy it hadn’t you? It’s only 3 quid for the download. Can’t say fairer than that! I’ve got it. It’s fucking mint. Track list after the jump. [...]

[...] In electronic music it’s pretty unusual for an artist to be totally open about the way he or she built the tracks. Some list their equipment (usually the more primitive and fewer pieces of kit the better in order to demonstrate your genius in crafting a techno symphony out of nothing more than a crayon and an egg whisk), but few detail the construction and reference points for their music as Erik XVI does here.
